Communicating Thermostats

DreamWatts can be made to support any communicating thermostat. No matter how capable the thermostat is as a standalone device, once supported by DreamWatts it becomes a full-functioning, web-capable HVAC control device with all the power and functionality that can be enabled by the DreamWatts system.

DreamWatts thermostats are monitored continually. Stored in our database is up to 2-years' data showing setpoints, internal and external temperatures, override conditions, and HVAC control signals. Override limits can be set, thermostat lockouts can be programmed (eliminating the need for clunky thermostat anti-tamper cases), schedules can be programmed from the web, and all monitored data can be viewed online. In addition, selected reports of the monitored data are available for the building owner at any time.

As shipped from PowerMand, all DreamWatts thermostats are outfitted with a ZigBee radio for wireless communications with a DreamWay Gateway. Installation is a breeze, just remove the old thermostat and put the DreamWatts-enabled thermostat in its place. The DreamWatts thermostat will automatically find the ZigBee network, present its security credentials, and request commissioning. Once the user, with the click of a button, acknowledges the thermostat as a device intended for use on the indicated network, the DreamWatts thermostat receives its programming and begins sending monitoring data up to the data center. It's that simple!
